DogShield is designed with privacy in mind. The app operates primarily on-device and collects minimal data:

When you scan a food, plant, or substance, the image or text is sent to Anthropic's Claude AI API for analysis. This data is processed according to Anthropic's Privacy Policy. We do not store or retain the content of your scans on our servers.
AI responses are educational and informational only — they are not veterinary advice.
DogShield uses Apple In-App Purchases for premium subscriptions. Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We do not collect or store any payment or billing information. For subscription management, please refer to your Apple ID settings.
All personal data (dog profiles, history, reminders) is stored locally on your device. We do not operate a user database or cloud sync service. If you delete the app, all locally stored data is permanently removed.

Since we do not collect personal data on our servers, there is no account to delete. All data you have provided is on your device and can be removed by deleting the app. For any privacy concerns, please contact us.
